UK theme park improves communication with team at European headquarters by installing Shure’s complete Microsoft Teams Rooms solution UK theme park Drayton Manor Resort has improved both internal planning and international collaboration by implementing a Microsoft Teams Rooms solution from Shure. The attraction, which opened in 1950 and is now owned by pan-European leisure park operator Looping Group, previously used a complex audiovisual AV consisting of disparate technologies from multiple vendors. Users “didn’t understand or trust” the technology and every meeting room was set up differently. “People just weren’t using the rooms anymore… they weren’t working to the spec required,” said Andrew Davies, head of resorts maintenance at Drayton Manor Resort. Shure worked with its AV partner, Project Audio Visual, to deploy the Shure IntelliMix Room solution in Drayton Manor’s main meeting space. Integrated with Teams, the plug-and-play AV solution features a touch panel; AI-powered camera from Huddly, which automatically frames participants; a MXA902 ceiling array microphone and loudspeaker to provide consistent full room coverage; and Shure’s IntelliMix Room DSP software to remove distracting sounds and enhance speech. “It’s a no-brainer; with Shure’s experience in audio and the AI features, it just made sense,” said Steve Hudson, owner of Project Audio Visual/AVIT. According to Drayton Manor Resort, the “transformation was immediate” and Shure’s solution has turned the meeting space into a “high-performing hub for collaboration” between its UK- and Europe-based teams. Internal planning meetings now run more smoothly too. “No one’s frightened of using the rooms anymore; they just work,” said Davies.
